Our Projects
DRF Projects
Development and Relief Foundation’s purpose is to develop a healthy, educated, sustainable community and provide relief to women, children, and low income individuals.
Orphans & Widows
Development and Relief Foundation firmly supports the Declaration of Rights of the Child as provided by the United Nations General Assembly.
Hospital
Karbala is a holy city in Iraq about 70 miles south of Baghdad. Karbala has a population of over 1.5 million residents.
Schools
Development and Relief Foundation’s Imam al-Sadiq elementary school was established in 2007 exclusively educating orphans.
Student Loan
Thanks to our partners at the Sepaus Foundation, DRF now provides emergency loans to distressed families and low-income students.
Food/In-Kind
Development and Relief Foundation has partnered with The Sepaus Foundation of Orange County to supply over 72 families with necessary home appliances like ovens, refrigerators, heaters, and swamp coolers over twice a year.
Women Empowerment
To create change in a community, especially in Iraq, it is crucial that we focus on women and young girls; for they are the center of the families that make up a community and society.
Get Involved
There are several ways that you can help others through Development and Relief Foundation. Virtually: spreading awareness via social media and word of mouth. On-Site: volunteering in the medical/vocational field or working as a teacher at DRF’s orphan schools.
Donate
Donations are what make our foundation successful. There are several ways to donate. You can make a one-time general donation or a donation to a specific project such as orphans, schools, the hospital, or food distribution. You can also make a commitment to sponsor an orphan on a monthly basis.

DRF established in 2004, dedicated to empowering communities through quality education and healthcare. We focus on uplifting orphans, widows, and the underserved in globe. With the conviction that education and health are pillars of nation-building, DRF is committed to providing essential relief services and fostering a sense of global responsibility in contributing to devastated countries development and democratization.The Development and Relief Foundation is a charitable non-profit organization classified as a public tax-exempt charity in the USA under section 501c (3) of the IRS codes.
What We Do and Who We Serve?Development and Relief Foundation strives to assist those who are less fortunate in Iraq. We provide grants along with training and consultation to DRF-Iraq. DRF accepts donations and contributions worldwide through its website, social media accounts, and by postal mail. Donations are used to fund the services outlined in the mission statement.
