Dr. Seyed Mostafa Al-Qazwini

Religious leader and founder of the Islamic Educational Center of Orange County. He was born in Karbala, Iraq and has an immense enthusiasm for assisting the less-fortunate in his hometown. Not only a religious leader, but a Ph.D holder, an author, and an ambassador for interfaith dialogue.

Seyed Hassan Qazwini

Religious leader and founder of the Islamic Institute of America in Dearborn Heights, MI. He was born in Karbala, giving him a firsthand experience of the trials that many Iraqis currently face. In addition to leading the IIA congregation and its youth, Seyed Hassan Qazwini is an author and an activist for equality, justice, and human rights.

Dr. A. Kareem Jaffer

Born and raised in Karbala, Iraq, currently residing in Southern California with his wife. Dr. Jaffer is a practicing physician of Neurology and Internal Medicine. He joined DRF’s board with an inspiration to help others and make a positive impact on Iraq’s future.

Dr. Fatima Hakkak

Doctor in cardiology in Pomona, California and is affiliated with multiple hospitals in the area, including Casa Colina Hospital and Chino Valley Medical Center. She received her medical degree from Kansas City University College of Osteopathic Medicine and has been in practice for more than 20 years.

Director of DRF with a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and Accounting, he is a business entrepreneur and active member of the Muslim community in North America. He successfully ensures all DRF’s finances are 100% transparent, while personally answering any questions or addressing all concerns to ensure DRF’s continued success.
